Position: Personal Trainer – Growth Track - Part Time
Status: Part-Time – Non-Exempt (20–25 hours per week, with shift coverage & path to full-time)

Compensation: $18.00–$25.00/hour (tiered based on client volume) + quarterly bonus opportunities and sales bonuses

Position Overview & Growth Structure
In this role, you get the best of both worlds: immediate income and room to grow. You will start with a base load of existing clients right away, giving you immediate footing. From there, your drive dictates your earning potential and career progression.
- Day 1 Stability: Inherit an established baseline client roster to get on the floor and start training immediately.
- Controllable Income: Your hourly rate increases with client volume ($18.00–$25.00/hr), supplemented by sales bonuses for bringing in new clients and quarterly performance incentives.
- Additional Shift Coverage: Want extra hours right away? Pick up open shifts filled with client sessions as they become available.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Train Clients: Supervise clients in a 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 trainer-to-client ratio setting. Adhere to and prescribe evidence-based workout plans, adapting prescriptions as needed to meet clients' unique needs.
- Educate Clients: Educate clients in and out of sessions on evidence-based workout tenets, debunk popular fitness myths, and consistently teach the value of proper exercise (hard, brief, infrequent).
- Client Retention & Growth: Follow retention processes, participate in campus events, and actively engage with corporate campus employees to bring in new clients and build your earning potential.
- Maintain Knowledge of Evidence-Based Exercise: Read industry books, study research, and attend conferences or seminars. Maintain a passion for continuous education—the true mark of a professional.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Education & Certifications:
- 4-year degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field encouraged, but not required.
- Hold or obtain current personal trainer certification upon hire.
- ACSM EP-C certification is encouraged, but not required.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Skills & Attributes:
- Deep passion for resistance training and evidence-based fitness.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable using a laptop and tablet daily.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move actively on the floor, and lift heavy objects (up to 70 lbs).
- Ability to work independently while contributing actively to the team.
