UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Must maintain current Texas RN License
-
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
-
ACLS
-
PALS (within 90 days of hire)
-
Competence in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care medications that may or may not need to be titrated
-
Thorough knowledge of airway management and rescue methods
-
Pediatric/Adult Phase 1 and Phase 2
-
Maintain knowledge of ASPAN Standards
Preferred Job Requirements:

PACU, ICU, ER, or other acceptable acute care experience
