We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney who is passionate about helping families navigate some of life's most difficult transitions while delivering exceptional legal representation.
Position Summary
The Associate Attorney will manage a family law caseload from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills, and is committed to providing outstanding client service.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of Florida family law matters, including:
- Dissolution of Marriage
- Paternity
- Child Custody/Timesharing
- Child Support
- Alimony
- Modifications
- Contempt and Enforcement
- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, parenting plans, and proposed orders.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal strategies.
- Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, case management conferences, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to efficiently move cases forward.
- Ensure compliance with Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure and court deadlines.
- Accurately record billable time.
Qualifications
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
- 2+ years of Florida family law experience preferred (newly licensed attorneys with strong family law experience through internships or clerkships may be considered).
- Strong courtroom presence and litigation skills.
- Excellent legal writing and research abilities.
- Experience drafting pleadings and attending hearings.
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional, compassionate, and client-focused demeanor.
- Experience with MyCase or similar case management software is a plus.

Pay: $88,862.00 - $300,000.00 per year
