Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Water Treatment Field Service Technician to service, and maintain residential water treatment systems in customers homes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers in the field.
Duties
- Start up, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair water treatment equipment (e.g., softeners, RO systems, filters, chemical feed systems, etc.)
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and system testing
- Collect water samples and perform basic field testing and analysis
- Diagnose equipment and system performance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Document service activities, test results, and customer interactions accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding system performance, maintenance needs, and recommendations
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in appliance repair, or equivalent.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in water treatment, plumbing, HVAC, industrial maintenance, or a related field (training available for the right candidate)
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical/service manuals
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various environments
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing multiple service calls efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Able to work the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and on call rotation as needed.
*Final candidates must successfully complete a background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, pre‑employment drug screening and physical as part of the hiring process.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
