Job Summary
Phil Dornbier Trucking is seeking company drivers and owner operators. We are a family run business where family is our top priority. We are seeking a truck driver to safely operate tractor trailer combination and perform OTR responsibilities. This role requires strong communication skills along with dedication to safety. We try and ensure that drivers are able to make it home to see their families and are not out on the road for extended periods of time.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive OTR dry van work.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, utilizing forklift equipment when required.
- Manage route driving efficiently to optimize delivery schedules.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- 2 years of experience.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
