Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to infants’ needs, incorporating curriculum development principles and learning technology tools.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Monitor and assess individual child progress through student performance data analysis and formative assessments to inform instructional strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills to foster a respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, academic interventions, and specialized support for children with disabilities or unique learning needs.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and safety standards while ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom setting.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about child progress, developmental milestones, and classroom activities to build strong partnerships.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching young children in preschool or toddler care settings, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, assessment-driven instruction, and early childhood education best practices such as Montessori or other pedagogies.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools including LMS (Learning Management Systems) for tracking student progress and educational content delivery.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs; familiarity with multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with effective communication skills to engage children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to analyze student performance data for evaluation of progress and implementation of targeted academic interventions.
- Understanding of educational compliance standards and regulation requirements relevant to early childhood education settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators while maintaining a nurturing environment for infants.
