Reporting directly to the Director of Public Safety. Manages all functions of the Security Department including the supervision of Security personnel. Responsibilities include assuring a safe and secure environment for all patients, staff, and visitors. All shift activities are coordinated to ensure compliance with all hospital policies, monitors appropriate security officer response, documentation, adequate staffing levels, investigates incidents, oversees surveillance, conducts fire drills on and off site. Ensure that fire extinguishers are checked monthly by Security Officers.
- Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience
- Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in a healthcare security environment strongly preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- AVADE Certified in Workplace Violence Prevention Levels I, II, and III or obtain within 60 days of employment
- AVADE Certified Trainer preferred or Obtain within 90 days of employment

- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must demonstrate ability to write Security Reports
