American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Stepdown Telemetry position at a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic charting skills.

24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit

Comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with the capacity to care for PCI and open-heart surgery patients

Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)

Epic EMR experience preferred

No travel pairs or groups accepted

Active Idaho or Compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
-
Proficiency in IV therapy and phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip management (non-titration)

Experience with non-invasive airway management and respiratory care
-
Familiarity with rapid response and code team protocols

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration

Previous permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Onboarding modules are completed onsite during orientation and average 4–6 hours for RNs

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
