Kindred Path Supportive Care is a boutique companion care company serving older adults throughout New York City. We believe exceptional care begins with genuine relationships, kindness, and presence.
Our caregivers help older adults remain independent by providing companionship and support with everyday activities. Every visit is a minimum of four hours, allowing caregivers the time to build trust, provide thoughtful support, and truly get to know the people they serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
- Accompany clients on walks, appointments, and community outings
- Assist with grocery shopping and errands
- Prepare simple meals
- Perform light housekeeping and household organization
- Encourage participation in hobbies and activities
- Provide standby assistance with activities of daily living (non-hands-on)
- Observe and communicate changes in a client's well-being to the office
Qualifications
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently in clients' homes
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation throughout Manhattan
- Previous caregiving, healthcare, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required
Schedule & Availability
- Flexible part-time schedule
- Minimum 4-hour shifts
- Must be available to work at least one consistent day each week
- Must provide reliable, ongoing weekly availability
- We prioritize matching caregivers with clients for long-term relationships, so consistency and dependability are essential
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $18.00 per hour
- W-2 employment
