SPA has a need for a Payroll Accountant.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will process labor corrections in Costpoint; reconcile labor each payroll cycle; conduct monthly audits of benefit deductions; process quarterly disability benefits; monitor and maintain timesheet floor checks; prepare affiliated GL account reconciliations; back up semi-monthly labor, leave, and payroll processing; and assist with W-2 year-end function and new hire employee orientation. This individual will also perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship.- Bachelors Degree (Business or Accounting).
- Minimum 2 years payroll experience in Government contracting environment.
- 2 years of Costpoint experience.
- Detailed oriented with strong organizational, analytical thinking and computer skills (Excel).
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts and ability to create journal entries and reconciliations.
- Experience with Employee Central Payroll desired.
- Must work under general supervision and follow standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
