The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing all daily activities related to inbound and outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization. This role ensures that materials, supplies, and products are received, processed, stored, and shipped efficiently and safely. Computer proficiency is essential, as this position regularly uses digital systems to track inventory, manage orders, and communicate across departments.
Compensation:
$20 - $22 hourly
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management

Oversee cycle counts, stock rotation, and inventory adjustments.

Update inventory levels in the warehouse management or ERP system.

Identify discrepancies and work with appropriate teams to resolve issues.
Operational Leadership

Provide direction and support to warehouse staff; train team members on procedures and safety practices.

Monitor workflow to ensure timely processing of orders and materials.

Collaborate with production, customer service, and purchasing to support operational needs.
Computer & Systems Management

Use warehouse management software (WMS), ERP systems, and shipping platforms to process orders and track inventory.

Generate shipping paperwork, BOLs, labels, packing lists, and receiving documentation.

Maintain digital logs, reports, and communication channels.

Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Qualifications:
Required

2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or related field.

Strong computer proficiency, including: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Digital shipping platforms (FedEx/UPS/3PL portals)

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred).
