Janitor – Commercial/Industrial
We are currently seeking candidates for a Janitor position with some light maintenance duties for a large industrial recycling customer in Akron.
In this position, you will perform janitorial tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the facility, as well as provide support for other building care needs.
Shift:
- 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday - Friday
Pay:
- $14.00+/hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- General cleaning and building care in office and shop areas
- Removing garbage and recycling
- Assisting with sorting materials received
- Painting, changing light bulbs, mopping, sweeping, and pressure washing
- Performing light plumbing repairs
- Cutting grass, mulching, raking, and blowing leaves
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Janitorial or facilities maintenance experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform both indoor and outdoor cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Openness to learning and willingness to assist where needed
