Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservation inquiries, phone orders, and guest questions
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Support guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and uphold high standards of hospitality throughout guest interactions
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently over the phone and in person
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and hospitality best practices
- Ability to remain energetic, positive, and professional in a fast-paced setting
