Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes
- Measure and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
- Independently run EKGs, perform ankle brachial index tests, and venipunctures
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as collecting specimens, performing basic physiology assessments
- Prepare samples for lab pick up
- Answer phones during office hours
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and ensure smooth clinic operations
- Support clinical documentation with ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) and maintain accurate medical records
Requirements
- CCMA Certification
- Proven experience in medical assisting
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and ICD coding standards
- Hands-on experience with an EMR systems such as Athena Health and medical administrative support functions
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service excellence

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
