Overview
WEE Ministry Preschool is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Part-time Preschool Music and Movement Teacher/ Floating Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners through engaging music, movement, and developmental activities while providing flexible classroom support across multiple preschool classrooms. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a passion for nurturing children's growth in a supportive environment. This position is perfect for a stay-at-home mom. We follow the Broken Arrow Public schools’ calendar, so we are closed when they are. There is a significant tuition discount for teachers’ own children enrolled in our preschool.
Duties
- Lead lively and interactive music and movement sessions that promote physical activity, coordination, and rhythm awareness among preschool children
- Support classroom teachers by providing flexible coverage across different classrooms as needed, ensuring continuity of care and instruction
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum standards, emphasizing literacy, math, and social-emotional skills through music-based activities
- Assist with classroom management by encouraging positive behavior, fostering inclusive participation, and maintaining a safe environment for all children
- Engage children in activities that support childhood development milestones, including language acquisition, motor skills, and emotional regulation
- Plan Christmas and Spring Program performances for parents.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques
- Strong communication skills to connect with children, parents, and team members clearly and positively
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate music, movement, physical education, and literacy activities
- Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety protocols, and inclusive teaching practices
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is desirable but not mandatory; relevant coursework or training in toddler care or childcare is advantageous
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
