Location: Campo Behavioral Health – Las Cruces, NM
Employment Type: Part-Time/Full-Time Position
Campo Behavioral Health is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated DD Waiver Trainer to coordinate, conduct, and document required Developmental Disabilities Waiver (DD Waiver) trainings. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of New Mexico DD Waiver requirements, excellent communication skills, and the ability to ensure staff remain compliant with all DDSD training standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Required experience working within the New Mexico DD Waiver Program
- Previous experience training or mentoring staff preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between program locations as needed
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct new hire orientation and annual DD waiver trainings.
- Teach required DDSD curriculum while maintaining fidelity to the approved training materials.
- Explain policies, procedures, and training content clearly and confidently.
- Evaluate staff competency and provide additional coaching when needed.
- Maintain accurate training records, rosters, and compliance documentation.
- Track training deadlines and ensure staff remain in compliance.
- Coordinate training schedules with supervisors and management.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding staff progress and compliance.
- Attend required DDSD trainer meetings and remain current on regulatory changes.
- Assist with agency audits and quality assurance activities related to training.

Required Training Experience
Experience teaching or coordinating the following is highly preferred:
- AWMD (Assisting With Medication Delivery)
- CPR/First Aid
- ANE (Abuse, Neglect & Exploitation Awareness)
- Handle With Care
- Individual Specific Training (IST)
- Other DDSD-required trainings applicable to DD Waiver services
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified DDSD Trainer or ability to become certified
- Experience using the New Mexico Waiver Training Hub
- Experience maintaining electronic training records and compliance reports
- Knowledge of DD Waiver Service Standards, incident reporting, and person-centered practices
