Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Take digital dental X-rays, photos, and 3D images adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and assist with medical & dental documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records using EMR system (SoftDent), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using digital dental imaging equipment and understanding dental coding is a plus.
