Position Overview
Volunteer Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Dental Check In-Out Coordinator to join our growing pediatric dental team. This position plays a key role in creating a positive experience for our patients and families by ensuring a smooth and efficient check-out process after each visit.
The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, enjoys working with children and parents, and thrives in a fast-paced dental environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families at check-out with professionalism and kindness
- Schedule future hygiene and treatment appointments
- Review treatment plans and financial arrangements with parents/guardians
- Collect payments and process transactions accurately
- Verify insurance information and explain patient balances
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Answer phones and assist with front office duties when needed
- Support the clinical and administrative team to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications
- Previous dental or medical front office experience preferred
- Experience with dental software is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with children and families
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Proficiency in EAGLESOFT and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to problem solve and make informed decisions
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Education Requirements:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
Dental Office Experience recommended
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer
- Clear verbal and written communication
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with standard business hours - Typically, Monday through Thursday 7:15-4:00pm. With the ability to work Fridays only if desired
- Collaborative team setting with cross-functional interaction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
