Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Workers (Contract-1099) to join our dynamic distribution team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by handling inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting order fulfillment processes. Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counting, replenishment, and inventory control using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA safety regulations
- Load and unload shipments by manually handling materials or using mechanical equipment like load & unload machinery and mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing packages, verifying orders via order picker or AS400 systems, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by stocking supplies, packing items securely, and adhering to safety protocols including PPE use
- Assist in materials handling tasks such as manual handling of goods, packaging products for shipment, and supporting manufacturing or construction-related activities when needed
- Follow all safety regulations diligently to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in inventory management, stocking, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certification is a plus
- Technical proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards; committed to PPE use and safe manual handling practices
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous for understanding heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and order accuracy
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) use is mandatory at all times during shift
