Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Reviewer to join our team. This role requires strong expertise in reviewing tax returns and accounting work to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality. As a key member of our firm, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial services and maintaining our standard of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Review and Preparation
- Review individual and business tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations
- Prepare tax returns as needed
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and up-to-date filings
Accounting Services
- Review bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records
- Provide accounting insights and recommendations to clients
Client Interaction
- Communicate with clients to gather required financial information
- Address client inquiries and explain tax and financial matters clearly and professionally
- Foster strong client relationships and ensure a smooth engagement process
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards
- Prepare and review financial reports for internal and client use in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of tax experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required)
- CPA or EA certification (or in progress) preferred
- Proven experience reviewing tax returns and accounting work
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow firm procedures and policies
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with GoSystem, SurePrep, and Practice CS is a plus
Employment Type
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
