Job Description
Job responsibilities:
Plans, develops, manages, updates and evaluates all aspects of the program including but not limited to:

Nursing program budget
-
Faculty and staff
-
Clinical site liaison
-
Curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
-
Program compliance with Board rules and regulations
-
Student advocate
-
Program policies and procedures Faculty and student handbooks
-
Supplies and equipment to meet program objectives
-
Ensures program compliance with accreditor rules, standards, and regulations
-
Maintains student and faculty records in accordance with established policies
-
Assists with identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program
-
Develops and implements program policies and procedures
-
Organizes and serves on program committees
-
Accepts other duties as indicated to ensure consistency and meeting needs of students and programs
-
Ensure compliance with clinical agency requirements for student and faculty initiation of clinical rotations
-
Participates in Nursing faculty recruitment, hiring and orientation
-
Participates in conflict resolution for the faculty, staff, and student
-
Monitors quality of instruction and participates in faculty and program review, evaluation, and strategic planning
-
Maintains membership and participates in activities of professional associations
-
Advises and provide academic support to nursing students as indicated
-
Regular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site is an essential function of this position.

This role requires on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state in which you are applying to teach.
-
Must hold a current Graduate degree in Nursing
-
A minimum of three years of teaching experience in pre- or post- licensure nursing
-
programs
-
Active unencumbered Nursing License in the state in which you will be working or part
-
of the compact licensure
-
At least three - four years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the state nursing board and accrediting bodies
-
Demonstrated leadership skills
-
Excellent skills in oral and written communications
-
Leadership style that emphasizes collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation
-
Ability to utilize computer-based resources
-
Experience in supervision, planning, budget preparation and maintenance preferred
