Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, ensuring consistency, freshness, and presentation standards are met at all times
- Manage inventory levels for seafood, rice, nori, and other sushi ingredients, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste through effective inventory control and food management practices
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe dining environment for both staff and guests
- Lead by example in food handling, cooking techniques, and hospitality standards while fostering a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi preparation
- Strong knowledge of food production processes
- Expertise in inventory management, cost control
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams as a chef while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling regulations, and kitchen management best practices
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality and serving guests with professionalism
- Experience in banquet settings or large-scale catering is a plus; familiarity with dietary department requirements is advantageous

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
