Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders and established protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status and identify urgent needs.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including tube feeding, catheter care, wound dressing changes, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in care planning, discharge planning, case management, and providing education on disease management such as dementia or Alzheimer's care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by providing first aid, airway management, CPR certification adherence, and acute pain management when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Strong communication skills for caregiver interaction and patient education; ability to work effectively in fast-paced emergency room or urgent care settings is preferred.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS), first aid; additional certifications like ACLS or PALS are a plus.
