Early Childhood Teacher – Join Our Teaching Team for the New School Year!
We are seeking caring, dependable, and child-centered educators to join our early childhood teaching team for the upcoming school year. Available Positions
- Full-Time Younger Toddler Teacher: 7:00AM - 4:00 PM - must qualify as Group Supervisor
- Full-Time Assistant Teacher: 8:00AM - 5:00PM - must qualify as Assistant Group Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a warm, engaging, hands-on classroom environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development (Lead teacher position)
- Use a variety of teaching methods including storytelling, music, educational play, science exploration, dramatic play, and creative arts
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Observe and document children’s progress and plan lessons based on developmental needs and PA Early Learning Standards
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behavior support practices
- Collaborate professionally with coworkers and administration to support a positive team environment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that follows all health and safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively and professionally with families during daily interactions and conferences
Requirements
- Proven experience working of at least 2 years with children in early childhood settings such as childcare, preschool, or private schools.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, and special education practices including early intervention approaches.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and scientific exploration is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to implement standardized observations and procedures for assessing student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Certification or credential in early childhood education or a related field is preferred; relevant classroom experience is essential. Professional Expectations
To support child safety, active supervision, and meaningful teacher-child interactions, staff are expected to remain fully engaged with children during working hours. Personal cell phone use is not permitted during classroom hours except in designated emergency or work-related situations. Candidates should be comfortable following this policy consistently as part of maintaining a safe and attentive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years documented childcare or early childhood education experience required
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and active engagement throughout the workday
- Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certification required within the first 90 days of employment
