About the role: We're looking for a motivated, engaged math teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for students in grades 6–8. This role centers on a problem-solving-based approach to mathematical growth — covering ratios, proportions, percents, integers, linear equations, graphing, geometry, and statistics. The ideal candidate will build a classroom culture rooted in mathematical reasoning and critical thinking, setting students up for success in high school math and beyond.
What you'll do:
Instruction and Curriculum

Deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in 7th and 8th-grade mathematics

Implement Amplify math units that integrate real-world problem-solving and inquiry-based learning

Use data-driven strategies to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including those needing intervention and those ready for acceleration

Design and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and provide timely, actionable feedback
Culture and Collaboration

Establish a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that emphasizes critical thinking and a growth mindset

Maintain regular contact with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and academic expectations

Participate in grade-level planning and interdisciplinary projects

Contribute to math curriculum team meetings and school-wide initiatives

Requirements:
- Oregon Teaching License with a Middle Level Mathematics or Advanced Mathematics endorsement preferred

Candidates eligible to obtain charter school licensure will also be considered
