Job Summary
This Deli position implies making sandwiches, preparing food, keeping deli and items in our walk-in cooler stocked, fresh and full. Cutting cheese for our walk-in cooler and being able to properly face and rotate products.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 10am- 4pm
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring a positive experience for our customers, whether in a café, grocery store, or quick-service restaurant setting.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Accurately process customer transactions using the Aloha POS system or other point-of-sale systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision and care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and dining space.
- Assist with bussing tables and ensuring a tidy environment for guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any customer inquiries regarding menu items.
- Uphold food safety standards and practices within the food service environment.
- Provide support during peak hours to ensure efficient service flow.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in the food industry, including roles in cafés, restaurants, or quick-service fast food establishments.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and food service protocols is a plus.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems, particularly Aloha POS or similar technologies.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
