Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Respite House Setting

About the Role:
A Caring Heart is seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Respite House team. This role focuses on supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a calm, residential setting during the night time hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care, supervision, and support to individuals in a Respite House environment
- Assist with daily activities including hygiene, meals, and recreation
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
- Follow individualized care plans and accurately document daily activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of unsupervised driving experience
- Access to a reliable vehicle with valid NC insurance, registration, and inspection
- Ability to read, write, interpret, and communicate in English
- Strong commitment to putting the needs of the people we support first
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with housekeeping, staff training, and on-call responsibilities
- Dependable with a strong work ethic

About Respite Care:
A Respite House provides temporary care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, giving primary caregivers a chance to rest while ensuring their loved ones receive professional attention in a safe and supportive environment. Stays can range from a few hours to several days, depending on individual needs.

Education:
