Must hold current certification in echocardiography as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Tech required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking an experienced professional with a focus in cardiac imaging to deliver high-quality echocardiographic services in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented Echo Tech skilled in both performing and evaluating echocardiograms to assist in patient diagnosis and care.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Echo Technologist (e.g., ARDMS or CCI)
- Proven experience in imaging—particularly echocardiography
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting results
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Familiarity with safety and infection control practices within healthcare environments
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff
- BLS certification (current)
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiographic studies on patients as ordered by physicians
- Capture high-quality images and video for diagnostic use
- Analyze and summarize findings for review by interpreting physicians
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Document procedures, findings, and relevant patient information accurately in electronic medical records
- Adhere to departmental protocols and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout examinations
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and answer questions
