Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Funeral Home Office Manager to oversee the administrative operations of our funeral home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily office functions, coordinating schedules, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. This role requires a professional with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in office management within a healthcare or funeral service environment. The Funeral Home Office Manager will play a vital role in maintaining compassionate service standards while ensuring operational efficiency.
Duties
- Oversee daily office operations, including front desk management and multi-line phone systems
- Coordinate and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all departments
- Supervise administrative staff, providing training and development opportunities
- Handle vendor management, including scheduling services and maintaining supplier relationships
- Manage bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, and financial recordkeeping using QuickBooks or similar software
- Maintain accurate filing systems and medical or client records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with event planning for memorial services and community outreach programs
- Ensure proper calendar management for staff appointments, meetings, and community events
- Support human resources functions such as onboarding new employees and managing employee records
- Perform clerical tasks including data entry, correspondence, and document preparation
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to provide compassionate customer service
Skills
- Proven experience in office management, administrative support, or medical office management
- Supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, calendar management tools, and multi-line phone systems
- Experience in event planning, vendor management, payroll processing, budgeting, and bookkeeping
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing and front desk responsibilities efficiently
- Demonstrated ability to train staff and support ongoing training & development initiatives
- Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to employee relations and compliance

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
