- Program Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of the school health program
- Supervise, train, and evaluate clinical support staff
- Maintain supplies, medications, and medical equipment
- Monitor program quality, regulatory compliance, and reporting requirements
- Assist with budgeting, grant management, and program planning
- Build strong relationships with school personnel and community partners
- Patient Care
- Provide primary care services to children and adolescents
- Perform health assessments, physical exams, and screenings
- Order and review diagnostic tests
- Develop treatment plans and provide patient education
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and community services
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Additional Duties
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement activities and staff meetings
- Support community outreach and health education initiatives
- Provide on-call phone coverage as scheduled
- Maintain all required licenses and continuing education requirements
- Participate in School Advisory Board activities as needed
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Pediatric NP Board Certification (if applicable)
- Current CPR and Infection Control certifications
- Medicaid and Medicare provider enrollment required
- NYC DOE fingerprint clearance required
- 2 years of clinical experience
- Previous supervisory or administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
