We are seeking a reliable and experienced Mover/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, furniture, and equipment to various locations. The Mover/Driver will also assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring they are handled with care throughout the moving process.
Duties:
- Safely drive company vehicles to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload items from trucks, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Follow established routes and schedules for efficient delivery of goods
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate moving logistics
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, box trucks, and refrigerated trailers as needed
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while driving and moving items
- Assist in packing items securely to prevent damage during transportation
Skills:
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Proficient in route driving and navigation
- Knowledge of courier services and logistics operations
- Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks and refrigerated trailers
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively
- Experience with van driving, tractor-trailers, or box trucks is a plus
- Prior experience in the moving industry is beneficial
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays if needed
