Our teachers play a vital role in developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operations of the classroom. We are looking for a teacher who is skilled in communicating with both children and adults, and who can effectively guide teacher assistants and resolve parental concerns.
What You'll Do

Develop and implement educational curricula by planning classroom activities that align with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards

Motivate and support the teaching team through effective modeling and coaching, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

Design and lead age-appropriate activities that engage children and promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth, encouraging active participation and exploration

Maintain open and regular communication with parents through regular discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences, ensuring their concerns and needs are addressed

Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children and staff

Supervise and support teacher assistants and classroom volunteers, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, forms, and files, ensuring seamless administrative operations

Develop and implement a personal professional development plan to continuously improve teaching practices and ensure high-quality care for our students
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience

Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills

High energy and ability to work effectively with others (staff, children, and parents) to foster a team environment

Strong understanding of child development

Must pass full background check and health screening
-
Ability to perform frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels, and kneel, bend, squat or crawl
-
Specific vision ability required, including ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception

Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (training provided if needed)

Associate's Degree in early childhood education or a related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE
