PRESCHOOL TEACHER
Adventure Alley Learning Center
Adventure Alley Learning Center is seeking a passionate, dependable, and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an educator who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is committed to providing a structured, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
Candidates MUST have previous Georgia Pre-K teaching experience and be experienced with creating lesson plans using GELDS (Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with GELDS
- Plan engaging learning experiences that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development
- Incorporate literacy, math, science, art, music, and physical activities into the daily classroom routine
- Maintain a safe, organized, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Use effective classroom management strategies and maintain consistent routines
- Observe and document children's development and provide individualized support when needed
- Maintain required classroom documentation, lesson plans, and learning materials
- Communicate professionally with parents and families regarding student progress
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, administration, and support staff
- Follow all Adventure Alley Learning Center, Georgia Pre-K, and childcare licensing policies and procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants MUST meet one of the following education requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE); OR
- Non-ECE Bachelor's degree with a Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate); OR
- Non-ECE Bachelor's degree with an approved Early Childhood Education TCC
In addition, applicants MUST have:
- Previous teaching experience in a Georgia Pre-K classroom/program
- Experience creating and implementing lesson plans using GELDS
- Strong knowledge of the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS)
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to maintain required classroom documentation and student records
- A professional, dependable, patient, and caring attitude
