1881 Event Hall is one of Spartanburg's premier event venues, hosting elegant weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, banquets, galas, holiday parties, and community events throughout the year.
As a Banquet Event Team Member, you'll play an important role in creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. Every event is different, and you'll work alongside an experienced team to transform event spaces, provide exceptional food and beverage service, and ensure every detail is executed with professionalism, energy, and genuine hospitality.
- Set up event spaces according to banquet event orders (BEOs), floor plans, and event specifications.

Arrange tables, chairs, linens, place settings, staging, décor, and event equipment.

Assist with setting up audio-visual equipment and meeting materials as needed.

Break down and reset event spaces following each function, ensuring everything is clean, organized, and ready for the next event.

Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of 1881 Event Hall throughout each event.
- Deliver friendly, professional food and beverage service during weddings, receptions, meetings, banquets, and special events.

Serve plated meals, buffets, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and beverages with efficiency and attention to detail.

Replenish buffet stations, beverage stations, and guest tables as needed throughout events.

Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.
- Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

Answer guest questions and provide assistance throughout each event.

Represent Pinnacle Partnership with a positive attitude and commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Work collaboratively with banquet teammates, culinary staff, bartenders, and event leadership to ensure every event runs seamlessly.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards.

Properly handle banquet equipment while maintaining a safe environment for guests and team members.

Perform other duties as assigned to support banquet operations and the continued success of 1881 Event Hall.
We're looking for dependable, energetic team members who enjoy creating memorable experiences and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, hotel, or food and beverage experience is preferred, but not required.

Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow event diagrams, room layouts, and service instructions.

Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to changing event needs.

Food Handler and/or Alcohol Server Certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain certification if required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods throughout a shift.

Ability to safely move banquet tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies.

Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments depending on the event.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
