Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher & Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to achieve smooth, even textures and applying high-quality paint finishes on various interior and exterior surfaces. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets our high standards for craftsmanship, safety, and aesthetic appeal. This work is inside active industrial sites. Strict background checks, drug and alcohol screening, and safety rule compliance are critical for this job posting. All sites are 100% tobacco and vape free.
Duties
- Prepare drywall surfaces through taping, sanding, plastering, and caulking to create a flawless base for painting or finishing.
- Apply primer, paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers (including airless spray systems), and conventional spraying techniques.
- Perform surface preparation tasks such as sanding, cleaning, and priming to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for trimming, fixture installation, and minor carpentry tasks related to drywall finishing and painting projects.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection, using ladders safely, and following safety protocol guidelines during all phases of work.
- Conduct quality inspections by visual color comparison and surface testing to ensure consistent color matching and finish quality across projects.
- Assist with renovation, restoration, or remodeling projects by providing skilled drywall finishing and painting services that enhance the durability and appearance of surfaces.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting, drywall finishing, plastering, or related trades with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless systems), brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Experience with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection use and ladder safety practices.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses or material quantities.
- Knowledge of construction site experience including framing carpentry, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, welding basics for maintenance tasks, concrete finishing or masonry projects is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform visual color comparisons accurately under varying lighting conditions.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics for precise application of coatings on complex surfaces or structures.

Pay: $25.22 - $30.37 per hour
