Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance operations of a residential community in Hamden, CT. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, responds well to day-to-day maintenance needs, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-kept property for residents.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, and comfortable handling a variety of maintenance responsibilities in both occupied and vacant apartments. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and being part of a team that helps keep the community running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily work orders in occupied and vacant apartments in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with preventative maintenance and routine property upkeep
- Perform basic repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance work, based on experience
- Help maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the property
- Communicate professionally with residents and provide updates when needed
- Follow company safety standards and maintenance procedures
- Support the team with additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior residential, apartment, or building maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work preferred
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple work orders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation required
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Dependable, professional, and responsive approach to work
