Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Worker / Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling warehouse operations, including loading and unloading goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely deliveries. Your driving expertise will be essential as you operate various commercial vehicles, such as box trucks, to deliver products safely and on schedule. Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safe handling of all items.
- Drive commercial vehicles, including box trucks with manual transmissions, to deliver products to customers or job sites following designated routes.
- Safely load, secure, and transport goods while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock within the warehouse and conducting regular stock counts.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by communicating professionally with clients and addressing their needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including loading/unloading and inventory management.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks with manual transmission is preferred.
- Prior delivery driver experience, especially route driving with a focus on punctuality and safety.
- Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical tasks involving moving items throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools; certification is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse situations.
