Job Description
Objective:
This person must be detailed oriented, able to multi-task, able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication and team skills, as well as a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities:
- Processing of new patient referrals
- Obtaining accurate patient insurance benefits
- Utilizing online scheduler and medical records
- Managing phone system
- Greeting all patients
- Maintain referral log
- Maintain cancellation log
- Collect and process over the counter payments
- Maintain consistent patient scheduling
- Daily processing of previous day visits/charges/documentation
- Consistent processing of clinical charts throughout working hours
- Monitoring insurance authorization and completing necessary re-authorization process
- Prescription updates as per request from therapist / EMR
- Preparation, mailing, and billing for medical record requests
- Copying as needed and requested by office manager and therapists
- Monitoring office and clinical supply needs
- Forwarding clinical and office supply requests to Front Office Manager
- Participate in staff meetings as directed by the Office Manager or Clinic Director
- Complete duties related to research projects as assigned by the Clinic Director
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Medically related field.
