Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene, patient education, and clinical procedures, with a passion for promoting oral health and enhancing patient experiences. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and buildup.
- Conduct oral health assessments by examining teeth, gums, and oral tissues to identify potential issues.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft.
- Take vital signs and review medical histories to ensure patient safety prior to procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations, including HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality.
Skills
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and clinical best practices across general dentistry disciplines
- Experience with dental specialties such as Prosthodontics or Orthodontics is advantageous.
- Understanding of medical documentation and coding related to dental care.
- Ability to assess patient needs through comprehensive examinations and provide appropriate education.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, staff, and other healthcare providers.

Pay: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
