Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our fast-paced distribution center team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control through accurate tracking and updating.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking and packing tasks with precision using order pickers and other mechanical tools to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments, inspecting goods, and preparing items for outbound delivery.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Participate in heavy lifting, materials handling, and construction-related tasks as needed to support manufacturing or warehouse expansion projects.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations including inventory management, stocking, picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers with mechanical knowledge of their functions.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse environments and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and materials handling consistently and safely.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of packaging procedures, load & unload processes, and the use of tools like mechanical lifts or construction equipment is advantageous.
