We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, craft high-quality beverages, and create a welcoming environment for all guests. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems such as Toast for order processing and payments
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
- Restock supplies and maintain organized workstations throughout shifts
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming café environment
Skills
- Previous Barista experience or Coffee experience preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and food industry calculations
- Knowledge of food safety, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently
