The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the salon and spa. This position is responsible for laundry for both salon and spa, stocking of client beverage areas, maintaining locker rooms and other areas in the salon.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collects soiled towels and capes/robes throughout the salon and spa.
- Washes, dries, folds and puts away towels/laundry for salon and spa.
- Reports washer/dryer maintenance needs to the Inventory Manager.
- Walks through the salon, spa and locker rooms with a smile and professionalism while collecting soiled laundry without distracting guests or team members.
- Acts as a Spa Attendant and keeps locker rooms, bathrooms, and all common areas spotless at all times
- Maintains cleanliness of bathrooms and employee break room.
- Empties hair vacuum canister regularly throughout the day.
- Ensures dryer filters are free of lint.
- Helps ensure an exceptional experience for Scott Miller clients.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains clean and orderly conditions in assigned work areas.
- Sweeps and mops floors, as needed.
- Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a salon, hotel, housekeeping, or hospitality environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Effective communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision, as well as be part of a team.

- Reliability and dependability.
- Available to work nights and weekends.
