Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Operate airless paint sprayers, brushes, rollers, and other equipment to apply coatings accurately on metal, wood, or composite parts.
- Use forklift equipment to handle heavy materials or components safely within the manufacturing or fabrication area.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and visual assessments to verify coating thickness and finish quality.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials, disposing of waste properly, and following safety protocols.
- Assist with assembly tasks as needed, utilizing basic math skills and hand tools for minor modifications or repairs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in industrial or construction painting is highly preferred; familiarity with auto body repair or auto painting is a plus.
- Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts will support your success in managing supplies and heavy items safely.
- Basic math skills are necessary for measuring coatings and parts accurately; experience with precision measuring instruments is advantageous.
