American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent acute care PCU experience.

Work in a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting
-
Care for a variety of patients including elective ortho, spine, and GYN surgical patients, post cath lab procedures (post PCI, pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion, re-vascularization), stroke, CIWA, chest pain, and renal/respiratory failure patients

Patient ratio of 5:1

Utilizes telemetry monitoring and post-op monitoring equipment

Uses Meditech / CPN EMR system

Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
13-week assignment length
-
Unit staffed with charge RN, 4-5 RNs, and 2-3 PCTs per shift

Modified self-scheduling process with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance

Active RN license (Colorado or Compact) required
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required

Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required

Cardiac experience preferred

Prior Meditech experience preferred

No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Provide post-op recovery care for surgical and cath lab patients, including post-ortho (spine, joint) patients

Brand new state-of-the-art unit featuring ADA/Bariatric rooms with in-room Hoyer lifts

Strong teamwork-oriented culture with a wide range of nursing experience among staff

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
