HEI, Inc. is a well-established, locally owned company seeking a dependable, quality-focused licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our Electrical Department. We are looking for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, maintaining a safe work environment, and contributing to the success of our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong electrical installation experience, the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, and a proven track record of working effectively on commercial and industrial electrical projects. Candidates with Foreman or Lead Electrician experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and electrical drawings
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards
- Coordinate work activities with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades
- Lead and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
- Identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Journeyman Electrician License (EE98J) required
- 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
- Foreman or Lead Electrician experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Current and valid driver's license
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours when project needs require
- Knowledge of the Albuquerque area is a plus
