Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations during your shift, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient cash handling and order processing.
- Train and develop staff on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members to build a strong workforce.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist in budgeting and financial management to meet operational goals.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food service management practices, including food production and catering.
- Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
- Familiarity with kitchen management practices, including cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Culinary experience or formal training in hospitality management is advantageous.
