ORGANIZATION AND PROGRAM: Conard House is a nonprofit organization with a mission to build welcoming communities and caring relationships that empower people and restore hope. Conard House specializes in Supportive Housing, Mental Health and Money Management services to 1,500 residents and clients across 10 residential buildings, 4 program sites and 22 shared apartments across San Francisco. SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in the financial health of Conard House, a community-based nonprofit organization. The role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure that the organization’s financial resources are managed effectively and in compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and forecasting.

Budgeting: Assist in the development and management of the organization's annual budget, working with department heads to ensure accurate and timely submissions.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling.

Grant Management: Monitor grant budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports for grant-funded projects.

Audit Preparation: Assist with the preparation of documents and information for annual audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts and projections to inform long-term strategic planning.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including maintaining accurate records for tax reporting and filings.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Collaboration: Work closely with program managers and department heads to provide financial guidance and support.

Data Management: Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accounting software and databases.

Collaborate with Director of Finance on financial planning, cash flow management, and board presentations regarding organizational financial health.

Responsible for managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Supervise employee under AP/AR, ensuring effective team coordination, workflow management, and departmental performance. Report to Director of Finance and work collaboratively to manage the team.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis.

Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles and grant management is preferred.
