Description: The Elementary teacher is responsible for the care and education of a group of children. The Elementary teacher is responsible for implementing the given curriculum and working with parents to assess the needs of individual children.
Accountability: The Elementary teacher reports directly to the Principal.

Educational Requirements:
- Required - High School Diploma or GED
- Required - Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Preferred - CPR and First Aid Certified

Responsibilities:
- Develop a positive relationship with each child, promoting the development of self-esteem, relating to the child in a developmentally appropriate manner
- Ensure the health, welfare, and safety of each child and team member
- Plan, prepare, supervise, and implement daily activities (indoor/outdoor) in accordance with the curriculum and the policies and philosophy of the school.
- Maintain ongoing developmental records for each child, including records of all graded projects. This includes official report cards four times annually.
- Work with parents to promote understanding of their child’s academic growth and development. Encourage parent’s participation in school programs and attend parent groups and school functions.
- Maintain consistent, effective communication with parents regularly using the school-sponsored platform and school-assigned email
- Prepare and conduct parent/teacher conferences, as needed
- Manage upkeep of all educational equipment and materials in assigned areas including decorating and cleaning the room
- Maintain daily attendance records using the school-sponsored platform
- Attend all scheduled staff meetings and trainings
- Must be able to work the days and hours assigned to perform the functions and responsibilities of your job. Must be punctual and timely in meeting all performance requirements, including but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines.
- Must be willing to perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or the Pastor.
Physical Capabilities:
- Must be able to lift up to approximately 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk, bend, stretch, squat/kneel, sit, see, hear, and speak
- Must be able and willing to perform light cleaning duties
- Noise level can be moderate to loud

Pay: $800.00 - $950.00 per week
