Overview
The Holiday Inn Express located on East Broad is seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of the hotel’s facilities. This role requires a versatile professional with strong technical expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will possess experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments, with a focus on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex equipment. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently are essential to maintaining guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Duties
- Repairs: Fix broken items like lights, leaky pipes, drywall, paint, and guest room furniture.
- Systems Care: Check heating, cooling, and refrigeration units to make sure they run well.
- Guest Service: Answer calls quickly when a guest has a problem in their room.
- Safety Checks: Inspect fire alarms, emergency lights, and security systems.
- Record Keeping: Write down daily tasks and report big problems to the manage
- Test and adjust pool/spa water chemistry (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) at required intervals.
- Clean filters (backwashing), skim debris, and vacuum pool and spa floors.
- Inspect and maintain pumps, motors, heaters, and automated chemical feed systems.
- Document all readings and maintenance logs to comply with local health department regulations.
- Maintain safety compliance on pool decks, handrails, drains, and rescue equipment.
Experience
- 1 to 4 years of hands-on work in general building or hotel maintenance.
- Physical Skill: Ability to lift heavy items (over 50 lbs) and stand or walk for long shifts.
- Licenses: EPA or trade certifications for HVAC or electrical work are often preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
