Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems, with a strong ability to work on various projects, including renovations and new constructions. This role requires proficiency in using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools, as well as familiarity with logic controllers and low voltage systems. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical installations across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Utilize voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete various tasks on construction sites.
- Work with logic controllers for automated systems and low voltage applications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to renovate existing structures or build new ones according to specifications.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Provide support as a maintenance person for miscellaneous tasks related to electrical work on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in using voltmeters, ohmmeters, power tools, and other relevant equipment.
- Experience working with logic controllers and low voltage systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices in the industry.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Previous experience as an industrial electrician or in similar roles is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Preferred / Helpful Skills-knowledge of Service Fusion or Field Pulse is helpful but not required. Familiarity with a payroll/time-tracking app for clocking in and out.
